Creative Edge has been offering art classes for children in Abbotsford since 1991.
This year our theme is "Artist Of The Month" where each month students study an artist from a different country, in order to create art projects and render paintings, drawings of clay sculptures in the style of that artist.
For example, in January, the art classes learned about Kazuo Komatsubara from Japan, well known for the art from known as "Anime".
Our art lessons consist of instruction in many different art forms such as: drawing, painting, sewing, clay modeling, print making, cartooning, mixed media and more!
In addition, art students will have a chance to learn about, and make projects in the style of, great artists of the past and present such as; Vincent Van Gogh, Frida Kahlo, Frank Stella and Ted Harrison.
The program is available for five age groups as well as occasional adult art workshops.
Mini Art (age 3-4)
Young at Art (age 5-7)
Junior Art (age 8-10)
Senior Art (age 11-13)
Teen Art (age 13+)
Also, every year our art students proudly display their works during the Creative Edge annual art show.

WHAT PARENTS ARE SAYING
"I have 3 children and we have been going to Creative Edge for nearly 3 years in both art and dance programs.
All 3 of my kids have loved the art program and I love it too - I was surprised at the amount of techniques that were taught as well as how much fun they had doing it.
My son is always using what he learned in class to create art projects at home- such as memory books of events that are important to him. Their teachers at school have commented on how creative they are and advanced in their artwork.
During an art summer camp, they were so excited to show off an art show of the work they had created during the week.
We love the staff - all of the teachers and reception staff make you feel welcome and part of the Creative Edge family."
