ABOUT US @ THE EDGE

Creative Edge School of Arts was founded in 1991. Since opening our doors we have grown and now have over 700 students who currently attend.

In keeping with a tradition of family values, our mission is to build self-esteem through the arts. We love to see the students self confidence and sense of accomplishment grow from month to month. It is why we do what we do at Creative Edge.

 WALL OF FAME

Throughout the years there have been several teachers and students at Creative Edge with some impressive credentials! If you have been associated with Creative Edge, and have also done some exciting things, we would love to hear from you and add you to our wall of fame.

Former Art teacher Steve Nichols is now working with George Lucas as an animator at ILM. He has worked on projects there including Star Wars and Dragon Heart. He was hired in part because of his teaching experience at Creative Edge.

Former dance teacher Tara Wilson has gone on to become an actor. Some of her movies include: The Butterfly Effect, Doctor Dolittle 3, Smallville and The Goodbye Girl

Creative Edge President Mark Gillott won a Canadian National Composition competition with his work entitle “Colonial Fanfare

And some parents might remember at one of our earliest shows, a young boy who could barely hold the guitar, played and sang “Achey Breaky Heart”. Well his name is Bryan Steeksma and he is all “growed” up now. A former music student at Creative Edge, he has now become a guitar wizard with a touring band known as “The Heck”, with a CD and a music video out.
