MUSIC @ THE EDGE

Learning to play music isn’t just educational, it is also fun as it is rewarding. Plus it makes us smarter! Studies have shown that, skill-building instruction in art and music can greatly improve children's performance in reading and math.

And Creative Edge located in Abbotsford, BC, offers several fun music lessons to choose from! 

PRIVATE LESSONS

In our music studio we offer GUITAR, PIANO, BASS or DRUMS lessons. Private lessons provide for a more personalized approach to learning how to play.

Students come weekly for a 1/2 hour lesson where they will be taught how to read and perform music. Theory, ear training & sight reading skills will also form part of the curriculum while developing self confidence & fostering a love for music. Our music students perform yearly at the prestigious Matsqui Centennial Auditorium in Abbotsford, BC.

GROUP GUITAR CLASSES

Learning music in a group setting provides for one of the most satisfying and motivational forms of music education. In our guitar classes student’s will learn how to form guitar chords, note reading, finger-picking, strumming and how to play lots of of their favorite fun songs.

MUSIC MAKERS

Music Makers is an ideal way to introduce music lessons to 3 & 4 year olds. Youngsters in the class enjoy making music with rhythm instruments, glockenspiels, and hand bells as well as the occasional craft or coloring assignment! The also have lots of fun dancing, singing and moving to music. The Music Maker classes also perform at the year end music recital in Abbotsford, BC.

PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT

Students who practice a minimum of 100 minutes each week are rewarded with a special treat and receive a chance to WIN PRIZES in a monthly draw. Great motivation for our music lesson students!
